    The black PP socket union features female thermo-seal socket connections. This fitting is supplied with FKM fluorocarbon seal which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene seal which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol® industrial thermoplastic flow-control systems perform well in harsh environments because they are made with materials that are resistant to abrasion, corrosion, weather, chemical and biological attack. Chemtrol® black polypropylene demonstrates excellent tensile strength, UV stability and versatile chemical resistance properties, making it the material of choice for harsh industrial, outdoor and underground applications.
